For IP CloseUp and its related podcast, Understanding IP Matters, 2024 was a year of new highs and significant breakthroughs.
For the first time, mid-way through its fourth season, Understanding IP Matters reached 10,000 downloads. The podcast, produced by the non-profit Center for Intellectual Property Understanding (CIPU), an affiliate of IP CloseUp, is heard in 67 countries, with the majority of listeners in the U.S.
The most popular UIPM episodes for 2024 include both new ones and those from previous seasons. They include:

For IP CloseUp it was another strong year with more than 34,000 views. Total views since inception exceed 426,000 in more than 100 countries, with 90% U.S. readership.

The most accessed post of all-time is the Kearns windshield wiper dispute, with more than 114,000 views. The illustrative story was captured in The New Yorker article and film, “Flash of Genius.”
