IP Awareness Summit News: Entrepreneur & Inclusion Panel Expanded; Free Virtual Registration Added for IPCU Readers

Arlyne Simon, Intel medical researcher and author of the the “Abby Invents” book series has been added to the panel, “Entrepreneurship and inclusion – IP’s role in nurturing success,” at the IP Awareness Summit. A complimentary virtual registration option also has been added for those who cannot be in Boston on May 2nd and wish to attend all or part of the program.

Speakers and panelists include Andrei Iancu, former Director of the USPTO, Dan Brown, award-winning inventor and entrepreneur, James Howard, inventor and Black Hall of Fame founder, Kara Miller, founding editor and host of public radio’s ‘Innovation Hub’, Muriel Medard MIT professor, inventor and entrepreneur, Kendalle Burlin O’Connell, CEO of MassBio, and creator, serial entrepreneur and former investment banker Tiffany Norwood, Cornell University’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

Arlyne Simon is a biomedical engineer, children’s book author, and entrepreneur with two medical device patents. She is best known for inventing a blood test that can detect when cancer patients reject a bone marrow transplant. Dr. Simon is also committed to inspiring girls to pursue a pathway in science, technology, engineering, art, and technology (STEAM). She will be speaking from her lab in Portland, OR.
